Racism and Stereotypes
There are many stereotypes that are running around and being spoken of left and right. They're being used to judge and to jump to conclusions about people. Instead of following stereotypes to judge others, can't we all just get to know the other person before placing a judgement about them. Stereotypes could offend others and could lead to depression or death if taken seriously. Just because one is black does not mean they're from the hood or play basketball. Just because one is Asian does not mean they're smart or like rice. Just because someone is from America does not mean they love Starbucks and consumes a bunch of fast food. We should not judge people by their skin but by the content of their character.

I agree with this completely. We should never use stereotypes to judge people. Like people say, never judge a book by it's cover, or in this case of what people say also. You should get to know the person before forming an opinion about them. Not a lot of people, including high school students, are aware of this so I find it amazing how you are spreading awareness on racial discrimination between black people and white people(or any races really). What you are doing is amazing, Khanh Le. Keep up the good work and keep spreading the awareness!
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you. You shouldn't conclude someone's personality through their outer appearance or of what you hear about that certain someone. Not a lot of teenagers care about this subject, but I am very glad to see that there are people out there who care! Keep up the good work. Khanh! You are doing amazing! SPREAD THE AWARENESS!!
